“Plants are placed in designed landscapes to create a certain look or serve specific purposes, or both at the same time. Designers usually have creative reasons for specifying particular plants. Even the most basic design criteria–to provide shade and fill space not covered by pavement–is combined with a creative thought process.”
– Janet Waibel
Sustainable Landscape Management – A Guide for Care in the Desert Southwest continues to be the standard setter for the landscape maintenance industry. In 2017 we exceeded 4000 copies sold and completed a 5th Printing! The Arizona Landscape Contractor’s Association continues to provide education and SLM certification for the industry using the book as their text.
The standards set forth in the book are being used by municipalities, property managers, contractors, and homeowners to improve aesthetics, increase efficiencies in irrigation and to promote longer lasting landscapes.
