New River Trailhead at Fletcher Heights

New River Trailhead at Fletcher Heights

A new trailhead for the City of Peoria is designed for cyclists and ties into the New River Trail, which is part of the Maricopa County Trail system. Waibel & Associates designed a shade structure that creatively combines textures, finishes and a roof design that enables effective passive cooling. Positioning of the shade structure provides a restful view into the New River corridor. Amenities throughout the site include bike racks, drinking fountain for pets and people, furnishings, and lighting.
